König-Max-Höhe in Wingersdorf in the climatic health resort of Kellberg - on the foothills of the southern Bavarian Forest, 450 - 520 m high and only 9 km from the "Three River City of Passau", lies the climatic health resort of Kellberg, in the municipality of Thyrnau.

King Maximilian II also appreciated the scenic beauty of Kellberg in 1852 when he visited Kellberg. He said: "I didn't know that my Bayernland was so beautiful".

From the König-Max-Höhe you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Bavarian Forest, Bohemian Forest, Sauwald, Neuburg Forest, and on a clear day also of the Dachstein and the Berchtesgaden Alps. One can count 36 church towers on this occasion.
