From 1613 to 1616 the church was remodeled in the Mannerist style.

From 1744 onwards Prior Hugo Neth began a comprehensive Baroque renovation of the church interior. The choir stalls and oak lectors, decorated with the richest rocaille, date from 1746. At that time the rood screen, which was common among Carthusians, divided the church into a hidden choir area for the monks in the east and a part of the nave for the lay people in the west. After secularization, this room-dividing rood screen was considered disruptive during the conversion to a parish church and was demolished. Several high-quality Rococo sculptures of it, made by Ferdinand Tietz, have been preserved. In place of the rood screen, an extraordinarily remarkable baroque pulpit was added, which had been created around 1730 for the Carmelite Church of St. Barbara in Würzburg. The original inventory includes the extremely elegant Rococo high altar, designed as a canopy, from the Würzburg workshop of the court sculptor Johann Wolfgang von der Auwera from the 1750s.
