The Hueth Castle is located about halfway between Rees and Emmerich near the Rees district of Bienen and can be reached by bike on a somewhat bumpy cobbled path.

Shortly after its construction in the 14th century by the Knights of Hekeren (also Heckeren), the medieval complex became a fief of Kurköln. At the end of the 14th century or at the beginning of the 15th century, the fortress was handed over to the family of Wylich, who owned it for more than three centuries. In the 17th century transformed into a castle, Hueth was sold because of financial problems in the first half of the 18th century to Friedrich Wilhelm von Borcke. His family redesigned the mansion of the Rococo style. Through marriage and inheritance came Hueth Castle in the 19th century to the family of Wittenhorst-Sonsfeld, which is still the owner.
