The GEOPFAD consists of 15 man-sized steles that were erected at Markkleeberg and Störmthal Lakes. Each of them has a special theme and provides an insight into the earth's history, which was revealed at the time of brown coal mining in the Espenhain open-cast mine.
Stele 16 was erected at the end of 2013 with the completion of the development measures at Gruna Bay.
