The East Bavarian Mining and Industry Museum in Theuern (municipality of Kümmersbruck) is a nationally important museum that researches and documents mining and industry in the entire East Bavarian region. It is part of the North Bavarian Industrial Route. The headquarters of the Mining and Industry Museum is the Hammerherrenschloss, built in 1781. In addition, regionally typical industrial monuments were transferred to Theuern: an iron hammer mill, a glass grinding and polishing plant, which has also housed the East Bavarian Electricity Museum since 1996, and a winding tower with a machine house.
