Very easy to navigate, scenic, with great views of the water on both sides. The tour is worth it! The mill is located in the Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar nature reserve. It is one of the area's historic salt mills, which were previously used to support the extraction of salt from the surrounding salt pans. These mills are an important part of the region's history and cultural heritage. Windmills like this one used to help move the water between the basins to facilitate salt extraction. The mills now symbolize traditional salt production and are very popular photo subjects.

The tour to the mill is very appealing because of the long straight ride on the promontory. However, if you drive to the mill to photograph it from a nice perspective, you will be disappointed. The area around them is fenced. As is so often the case in Spain, the tourism authorities did not think twice about this.

There is water to the left and right of the road (in 1/22). Fun to drive here. It's rarely muddy.
