Schmieden is the town of the Prags Valley: a small village that offers all the necessary facilities for the valley: kindergarten, primary school, event hall, pavilion, park with playground, church, 2 village inns, bank counter, post office and supermarket as well as the community center. A detour through the village completes the hike. A visit to the church, which is dedicated to the suffering Savior, also offers a moment to pause.
