Anyone traveling along the Spree Cycle Path should take a short break at Weir VI in Rheinfelden. This technically modern weir separates the main Spree from the northern floodplain, marking an important point in the Spreewald water system. The structure itself is impressive, with its clear, functional concrete construction and the rushing weir system over which the water flows incessantly.

In addition to the technical aspects, the view of the landscape is also worthwhile: wide fields, quiet groves of trees, a branch of the Spree nestling peacefully between the banks.
