The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Peter is the parish church of the village of Lauenberg and belongs to the Lauenberg-Hilwartshausen parish.
The hall church was built in 1779 and has a roof tower on the west side. On top of this tower is a truncated pyramid with a lantern. This, in turn, has a bell-shaped dome.
