Looking out over the open landscape, you reach a small forest and the Bachgauer Hohl geopoint. It is one of many sunken roads that once shaped the landscape in this region. At the geopoint, you learn that the sunken roads served as feeder roads to the former highways on the hills. If you look into the deep gorge, you can easily understand how the carts used to have to be braked by hand with so-called brake shoes as they went down the mountain, which dug deep gorges into the ground.
