As a result of the raid on Erbeyli Train Station on the night of 20-21 June 1919, causing heavy losses to the Greek forces, the Greek forces martyred 72 people living nearby in revenge. Martyrs' Monument was built in 1934 by the tradesman Eşref Sarı from İncirliova, next to Erbeyli Station, adjacent to the Aydın-İzmir highway.
