Christiansfeld is dominated by the Brethren, which was instrumental in the construction of this place formative. The center is set in a uniform style. The old cemetery shows how much equality was at the heart of parishioners. In the village of course there are Herrnhuter stars to buy and especially delicious gingerbread in a special store!

UNESCO has named Christiansfeld a World Heritage Site on the grounds that the city is "a unique testimony to a cultural tradition that still exists" and a "unique example of architecture that illustrates a specific time in human history". In Denmark only seven places have been designated as World Heritage and only 1,031 worldwide. So it is something very special to bear this title and the Christiansfelder are particularly proud of it.
