The Aedes Castoris, also known as the Temple of Castor or Temple of the Dioscuri, was dedicated to the Dioscuri Castor and Pollux, the twin sons of the god Zeus and Leda. It is one of the oldest temples on the Forum and, according to ancient tradition, was consecrated in 499 or 496 BC and inaugurated in 484 BC.
