Here the path leads directly through the remains of the west wall. On the left and right are innumerable concrete tank locks to be discovered in the forest and thicket. It's nice to see how nature regains this madness.

Hiking

The West Wall was a military fortification line along the German border with Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg. In 1938, there was a call for the strengthening of the German western border and the construction of the West Wall began. The fortification line consisted of lines of hillocks as obstacles for infantry and tanks as well as bunkers for fighting positions, command posts and communication.
