Located directly on the Emscher cycle path, the BernePark is a very special place that was created as part of the Emscherkunst 2010. The "park" was created in an artistically planted sewage treatment basin, which in summer unfolds into a wonderful work of art. Immediately adjacent to it are five concrete tubes that can be rented as "hospitality devices" for overnight stays. With a length of 3 meters and a diameter of 2.4 m, they offer just enough space for a double bed and some storage space - the bicycles have to be locked outside in front of the revolving door. Somewhat hidden away is a container with wet rooms in the style of a simple campsite.
