Lønstrup also has small bathhouses, like those you might be familiar with from Løkken, which locals use to change for bathing and store their bathing gear. During a severe storm in the last millennium, the North Sea was driven so far toward the coast that the houses were seen floating at sea. After this incident, the houses disappeared for a while, but now they're growing in number again.
