The drinking water fountain is located on the left outside of the Etruscan arch, also known as the Arch of Augustus. The middle water jet is not drinking water - on the left and right, the drinking water jet only comes out of the water nozzles when you step onto the grating.

Its mightiness is reminiscent of Babylonian portals, but this gate was built in Roman times to allow passage through the mighty city walls. There you could stop off in Perusia, as Perugia was formerly called.
