Lendspitz Nature Reserve. This is where the Glanfurt, also called Sattnitz, begins, an outflow of Lake Wörthersee. A beautiful cycle path with numerous swimming spots runs along the entire Sattnitz River to its confluence with the Glan in Ebenthal. The Lend Canal also begins at Lendspitz and extends to the Lendhafen harbor in the city of Klagenfurt.

Anyone who sets out to view Lake Wörthersee not only from the shore, but from above, will be rewarded halfway up – not with a loud panorama, but with a quiet invitation. Two wooden loungers, weathered and tilted, as if they had thought themselves into their own age, stand among roots and moss, as if they had long known that what matters here is not design, but existence. The construction: slanted. The view: even more slanted. And precisely for that reason, so precious. Those who sit down do so not to sunbathe, but to sink into the silence between the trees. Into the shimmering blue of the lake, which emerges between the trunks like a memory. The benches don't speak. They creak at most. But they tell stories. Of hikers who lingered briefly. Of conversations held – or avoided – here. Of people who wanted to contemplate the lake rather than photograph it.You stay longer than planned. You say less than you thought. And you leave with the feeling that up there in the forest someone has thought of everything – even rest.
