Slokas Lake Boardwalk Trail

Amazing and easy forest trail through the swamp. During the rain season, the path is barely above the water, but that is exactly what makes this hike spectacular.

The 3.1km long trail along the shores with lakes - which is populated by numerous waterfowl - winds through various forests. It starts and ends at Sloka Lake, where there is a parking lot, a picnic area, and a 7 m high floating tower for sightseeing. Walking along the trail, you can see a number of interesting sites – swamp forests of Vēršupīte, sulphur spring near Sloka Lake, the great bolder, and several swamp lakes. Climbing the observing tower, you can dive into bird watching on Slokas Lake.
