The self-service cable ferry is a bicycle and pedestrian ferry across the Culemborgse Vliet that connects the Diefdijk in Leerdam (Utrecht – municipality of Vijfheerenlanden) with the Acquoyseweg in the Gelderland village of Acquoy (municipality of West Betuwe). The ferry, built by Jachtwerf A. Woudenberg in Beneden-Leeuwen, made its first crossing in September 2011. The ferry forms a link in the network of cycle and walking paths in the area of the New Dutch Waterline. The Schaapskooipad Zuid – junction 21 of the walking route network also runs over this.
