Tips
When looking towards the southeast (i.e. not towards Wasserkuppe and Pferdskopf), the Heidelstein with its transmission tower dominates the horizon. The Heidelstein is the fourth highest mountain in the Rhön (925.7 m above sea level). The state border between Hesse and Bavaria runs over its summit.
