The shrine with the year 1648 is intended to be a souvenir of Engelsberg and Walldürn pilgrimages. The path ran here in the early days. Later, the people of Aschaffenburg also made pilgrimages along this path to the Obernau chapel. The ridge next door was built in 1903, as was the ridge on the straight path 200 m to the left. The adjacent fields of Rauch - Bischberg - Ahlenberg were mainly planted with vines and were owned by the Schmerlenbach monastery, which had large holdings in Schweinheim. As early as 1226, the 8-Morgen-Gnuß and Klosterrain fields were donated to the monastery. In 1286, the monastery owned a farm in Unterschweinheim and in 1308 a farm in Oberschweinheim, later house number 14 in Mühlgasse. In 1298, the monastery also bought the Ottenmühle (Eichmühle). In 1686, 35 of the 66 hearths paid rent and grain to the Schmerlenbach monastery. The Obernau district boundary also runs here, although it was moved slightly in the 1830s.
