A memorial to commemorate the forced labor in World War II that was carried out by concentration camp inmates, prisoners of war, convicted criminals, etc. on the orders of the Nazi government. A branch of a concentration camp was even set up near Aurich (Engerhafe). An anti-tank ditch had to be dug here, which also served as an anti-tank trap.
