In the countryside of Vigarano Pieve stand the showy buildings of the "Diamantina", from the locality of the same name... which ... took its name from one of the emblems of the House of Este, the diamond ...
The estate, after having been the collective property of the Settepolesini community, was sold to Duke Ercole I in 1506 in exchange for a negligible fee.
The populous village has been remembered since 1590, as the site of a "castalderia" with farmhouses from the Este era.
The palace, complete with stables, vegetable garden, a beautiful dovecote tower and large granaries, was the administrative center of the estate.
In 1827 the Diamantina passed to Baron Camerini who restored it and built an oratory; subsequently several owners took turns and thanks to mechanical reclamation the area has become healthy and rich in crops.
It now belongs to Dr. Enzo Cavallari who has gathered in some rooms of the building a rich collection of machines, materials and objects related to agricultural work.
