The Prether Bach has its source as a Schwalenbach in the Hohes Venn-Eifel Nature Park in the North Eifel on the Hollerath plateau. The source is located about 1000 m southwest of the village of Schnorrenberg, 1.6 km southeast of the village of Schwalenbach and 5 km east of the Belgian border at about 641.5 m above sea level. Above sea level. The Prether Bach is about 10.2 km long and flows into the olef tributary Platissbach coming from the west at Platiss at an altitude of about 422 m. Source: Wikipedia
