A tiny village in the province of Piacenza, perched on a rock spur at 464 meters overlooking the Trebbia, right where the river makes a bend creating a spectacular canyon.
History has it that a castle also stood here, of which very few traces remain, built after 1000 by the Brugnatelli family. However, the decline and depopulation of the village came around 1930 when the parish seat of the Municipality was moved to Marsaglia. Only recently have the houses been recovered.
The houses are all made of stone and some were built directly on the rock. The village has been entirely restored maintaining its ancient charm. The buildings have particular details such as carved wooden shutters.
