The Michaelskapelle is a baroque pilgrimage church located on the Michaelsberg near Untergrombach on the western edge of the Kraichgau hills.
The first documented mention of a chapel on the Michaelsberg dates back to 1346. According to an inscription dated 1472 that was reused in the current chapel, the master builder Hensel Frosch built a new late Gothic chapel in its place, possibly on the orders of the Speyer bishop Matthias von Rammung. The chapel had already fallen into disrepair by 1584. The current baroque chapel was built between 1742 and 1744 on the orders of the Speyer prince-bishop Damian Hugo von Schönborn. In 1803 the chapel was closed and sold as a result of secularization; from 1855 to 1857 the church was bought back under Pastor Ignaz Kling and after the renovation the services and pilgrimages were resumed.
