Here was operated from 1882 to about 1965 Quurzitsteinbruch. The quartzite produced millions of years ago was used for road construction. In 1909, the so-called godwax, which served as an urn in a Germanic tomb, was found here. The godwit is exhibited in the Roman-Germasnian Museum.GPS coordinates N50.830304 E7.186450

A narrow trail has been created on the western slope above the lake.

In the "Decke Steen" area, there are spoil heaps, quarry faces, and an old quarry shelter. The quartzite path between them is open to the public.
