The Webbekoms Broek visitor centre houses an exhibition about the nature reserve behind it and the Demer and is also the ideal starting point for a number of signposted walks in the nature reserve of the same name. You walk along the Demer, the Zwarte Beek, the city walls, the inner basin and the outer basin. Some routes can also be discovered by bike.

Kids rule in the Webbekoms Broek. At the Webbekoms Broek visitor center, a beaver (totem) welcomes you and invites you on a walk. During this adventurous hike, you can compete with the animals and encounter some unusual species. See the stork poles? Baby birds have been born here in recent years! The beaver has its den in the river, and the horses graze in the meadow. Finally, on the city walls, you'll find the Boerenkrijgplein (Farmers' War Square) with the Demer meeting place "de kanonnen" (The Cannons), where you can enjoy a picnic overlooking the Demer River.
