    Hiking

Through a 3100 meter long transfer tunnel with a diameter of 3.35 m, the Great Dunker dam is connected to the river system of Kürtener Sülz. The difference between inlet and outlet is 10 m, the ridge between the brook valleys of the Grosse Dhünn and the Kürtener Sülz rises 90 m above the crossover tunnel.

The transfer tunnel starts at the Kürtener locality Häcksbilstein and ends in the dam root of the Große Dhünn Vorsperre.
