"... The Kürtener Sülz is the 20.5 km long, north-eastern and orographically right source river of the Sülz in the Oberbergisches and Rheinisch-Bergisch districts in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is also considered by some to be a tributary of the Sülz.

Course:

The Kürtener Sülz, whose upper reaches are called Ahe up to the mouth of the Floßbach, rises about 2.5 km south-west of Wipperfürth near the district of Erlen and initially flows mainly in a south-westerly direction. After it has flowed through the villages of Wipperfeld, Ahe and Jörgensmühle, it passes the district border of the Rheinisch-Bergisch district. Behind Junkermühle, the river is dammed to form a small lake, from which the transfer tunnel to the Great Dhünntalsperre branches off.

About 3 km further downstream it reaches Kürten. Here the course of the Kürtener Sülz turns south and passes Waldmühle, Broich, Eichhof and Sülze. The river forms a loop behind Sülze. A short distance further, the Kürtener Sülz meet at Hommerich at 126 m above sea level. NN with the Lindlarer Sülz to Sülz. ..."
