Here in the old cellar quarry near Breitbrunn you can find parts of the face of Donald Sutherland, alias President Snow from The Hunger Games. The white-grey sandstone relief, which was 10 metres high and weighed 100 tonnes and was made in the Roßberg quarry by Steff Bauer and Sören Ernst, was first carved in stone and then blown up in November 2015 for the cinema release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" - the finale of the saga - as part of a promotional campaign for the film. Parts of the blown up distinctive head of Canadian actor Donald Sutherland, who plays President Snow, can be admired here.
