The name Elbhangtreppe is actually not quite correct, because the long steel staircase from the Elwkieker observation tower on the Elbberg does not lead to the Elbe, but down to the jetty on the Sude or vice versa.
The official name is Elbberg and Elbhang - so that's how it is.
The staircase is a stable construction and leads you up and down the Elbe slope very well. It certainly wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. I like it very much.
