First of all, it's just a regular bridge over the canal for pedestrians and cyclists, always well-frequented.
It connects several real highlights – Schwansbell Castle and Castle Park, and the lakeside park with its beach and café. You can also simply cycle down to the canal and then continue from there.
For people with a specific destination, it's also a great car-free connection from Altlünen to Horstmar or Dortmund-Nord. Hope this is helpful 🖖
