The name "Auf dem Töps" suggests that it is a plateau about 100 meters above sea level. That is quite a height in the Lüneburg Heath, considering that the highest elevation in the North German lowlands, the Wilseder Berg, is 162 m high. This height allows for wonderful panoramic views.
