The Breitenhagen ferry is a ferry connection on the Elbe between the towns of Tochheim in Zerbst/Anhalt on the east bank and Alt Tochheim in Barby on the west side. The owner is the city of Barby.[1] The ferry is a non-motorized yaw cable ferry, so it is powered by the current of the river. The ferry operates daily. The ferry can be used by pedestrians, riders, cyclists, cars, trucks, buses and agricultural vehicles. The prices for a crossing in 2018 were between 50 cents for a child and 11 euros for a semi-trailer.[2]
