The former Klein Waabs anti-aircraft missile position was part of the NATO air defense belt in the Schleswig-Holstein Sector 66 area, FlaRakBtl 2./39.
In 2013, the Bundeswehr's usage rights expired; a meeting of the Waabs community resulted in several proposals for use in the building committee.
As of May 2025, the site is used by the public works department and as pasture. A darts club also appears to have its home there.
