The part of the Wollmatinger Ried that is accessible without a NABU guide is a straight and flat stretch of about 1.5 km along the old canal, where beavers live, to the banks of the Rhine directly opposite Gottlieben (Switzerland). There are explanatory panels about the fauna and flora. But the views towards the Ried, Reichenauer Damm and Hegau are particularly impressive and make you forget how close you are to civilization.
