The pond here near the edge of the forest was created in 1928 at the instigation of the Mayor of Usinger at the time, Lißmann, after the Usinger Weidgenossenschaft had set up a communal pasture on the neighboring Geisberg. This fish pond, which also serves as a fire-fighting water reservoir, was last desludged and redesigned in 2021.
