The Wambachsee is an artificially created lake in the south of Duisburg. The lake is part of the large leisure and local recreation area “Sechs-Seen-Platte”. With an area of around 11 hectares, Lake Wambachsee is an important body of water and a popular excursion destination in the region. The lake borders the districts of Wedau and Buchholz.
