In today's church there are still uncovered wall paintings from 1472 and several old epitaphs.
The surrounding cemetery was once the courtyard of the Servite monastery.
Since 2003, the church has been the end point of the ecumenical pilgrimage from Görlitz to Vacha (Via Regia).
