Tips
The eastern valley is deeply cut and very wooded. The shores of the meandering Oste provide us with colorful flowering plant communities and many a bizarre ice and snow picture in winter. With a bit of luck, we can see kingfishers, Hedgehogs or magnificent dragonflies here.

The Oste is a small river that flows through northwest Lower Saxony in a very natural setting and flows into the Elbe after about 150 km. Once an important river for shipping, the Oste is now largely reserved for recreational boaters.
