Kapellen-Süng - often just called Süng - was mentioned as early as 1662 in connection with a private chapel in Kapellensüng, which, through multiple expansions and renovations, became the Catholic parish church of St. Agatha around 1913.
The historic town center of Kapellensüng around the parish church of St. Agatha with the slated rectory from 1799 and two listed half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries is worth seeing.
