Friedrich Wilhelm Witte opened a small pastry shop on April 30, 1891 at Niedergasse 21 in Stolberger. In the decades that followed, success grew and the company expanded. In 1926, production started in a new factory building with a large furnace. An own power and gas generation plant even supplied the Central German region. In 1972 the company was expropriated. A good 20 years later, in 1993, the reprivatization was completed - biscuit production had come to a standstill in the meantime. Since then there has been a small café and a factory outlet in Stolberg again.
