Welcome to the Donau Auen National Park!You are now at the entrance to one of the most beautiful natural heritage sites in Austria. The Donau-Auen National Park preserves the last large floodplain landscape in Central Europe on more than 9,600 hectares. When it was founded in 1996, this jewel was permanently placed under international protection. Since then, nature has been able to develop here free of economic constraints. To ensure that it stays that way, we ask you to inform yourself at the information boards available and to observe the rules. Much joy!Help protect nature – fair behavior in the national park:• Cycling: Only use the designated green cycle paths with your bike!
• Path requirements: 100 km of signposted paths are available - do not leave them!
• Dogs: Always keep your dog on a leash out of consideration for wild animals and other guests!
• Avoiding waste: Please take your rubbish with you and dispose of it correctly!
