You are now at the entrance to one of the most beautiful natural heritage sites in Austria. The Donau-Auen National Park preserves the last large floodplain landscape in Central Europe on more than 9,600 hectares. When it was founded in 1996, this jewel was permanently placed under international protection. Since then, nature has been able to develop here free of economic constraints. To ensure that it stays that way, we ask you to inform yourself at the information boards available and to observe the rules. Much joy!
