The Tour Faubourg Saint Paul is part of the medieval city walls of Binche. These walls were built between the 12th and 14th centuries and have been almost completely preserved. The walls are more than 2 kilometers long and are supported by 30 towers, including the Tour Faubourg Saint Paul. These towers and walls played a crucial role in the defense of the city.
