Art in public spaces is often incomprehensible and anonymous. With the Pillar of Connectivity, Hamburg artist Björn von Schlippe takes a different approach. The illuminated steel sculpture with a stepped pedestal invites people to meet, sit, and talk. The over seven-meter-high, octagonal sculpture depicts a cross-section of our society with 72 profiles of people from the district.
