Bolderwood Arboretum once boasted an impressive arboretum which was devastated in the Great Storms of 1987 and 1991. Over the past few years, the Forestry Commission have been replanting to help return it to its former glory.

Bolderwood Arboretum is open to hikers and bikers, though some trails have been blocked by placed logs, and has a viewing platform for wildlife spotting at the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary. The deer are fed daily by a local keeper between April and September, and are often seen in the main meadow. Feeding time is usually between noon and 3pm.
