In addition to the "cubes and trees," the artist also erected the so-called "wood watchers," consisting of three red-painted modules with a solar cell-powered light installation in their cubic top, resembling a hybrid of a research station and a forestry hide.
The three architectural sculptures stand on stilt-like legs that extend beyond the boxes, each with four window openings, into antennas—in this way, Schrader creates a connection between heaven and earth. Their placement is chosen so that the hiking or cycling path runs through the entire ensemble, thus making the viewer part of this half-natural-elemental, half-technoid-constructive location. Schrader has already realized a similar group of sculptures in Japan.
