The Linnefe rises in Wenschebach, flows through the Linnefetal and flows into the Dhünn near Loosenau. The 5km long valley is a popular hiking destination in the Dhünntal and Linnefetal nature reserve. It covers 213 hectares with near-natural stream valley systems, alluvial forests, wetlands, rocks, heather remnants and streams, home to river lampreys and bullheads.
